As a member of the development team responsible for constructing services, APIs, SDKs, and extensibility points for the Teams web, desktop, and mobile clients, I have had the opportunity to work with and assist individuals who are highly enthusiastic about creating apps for Microsoft Teams. Through my interactions with these developers, I have learned that they have compelling personal and professional stories that motivate their app development efforts. I am interested in highlighting these stories and sharing them with others in the community.
As a fan of podcasts and an avid learner, I believe that there is a need for a podcast specifically geared towards developers who are building on top of Teams. Action > Talk, so I decided to create the AppsPeopleStories podcast. This podcast aims to provide valuable insights and information to developers in this field and I hope it will be a valuable resource for the community.
In episode #1, I interviewed Melissa Painter, the Founder and CEO of BreakThru, an app for Teams that encourages users to take brief, movement-based breaks to improve mental and physical health. During our conversation, we covered a range of topics, including the various ways in which BreakThru has been found to enhance productivity within organizations. One of the most memorable moments of the interview was when Melissa shared the stories of some of her app’s users who have experienced the benefits of BreakThru firsthand.
Please listen and enjoy!
